新年快乐!
Happy CNY folks. Hope its been great with plenty of ang paos! well this year's taking has been the same as last year. the rates are thereabouts. but this year CNY was a bit more fun, went to KTV with my cousins. and i spent a good amount of time talking to my grandma and my uncle. WOW i found out so many fasinating things. like my grandma can really drink alot, we are talking about half a bottle of brandy here. and my aunt is a fantastic drinker too.

found out things about my cousin who's never around. apparently she has serious issues with self-esteem. hahah. overall an alright new year. more visitations line up. gonna go to all my friends place to get more ang pao! ESPECIALLY MY DEAR! hahahah

alright, a little funny stuff to keep everybody entertained =) Cheerz folks, have a great new year ahead!

Only in America...do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front.

Only in America......do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a diet coke.

Only in America.....do banks leave both doors open and then chain the pens to the counters.

Only in America......do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the driveway and put our useless junk in the garage.

Only in America......do we buy hot dogs in packages of ten and buns in packages of eight.

Only in America......do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: 'Poli' in Latin meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'.

Only in America......do they have drive-up ATM machines with Braille lettering.

EVER WONDER ..

Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin?

Why women can't put on mascara with their mouth closed?

Why don't you ever see the headline "Psychic Wins Lottery"?

Why is "abbreviated" such a long word?

Why is it that doctors call what they do "practice"?

Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, and dishwashing liquid made with real lemons?

Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker?

Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?

Why isn't there mouse-flavored cat food?

Why didn't Noah swat those two mosquitoes?

Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections?

You know that indestructible black box that is used on airplanes? Why don't they make the whole plane out of that stuff?!

Why don't sheep shrink when it rains?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of progress?

If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport the terminal?

i think ling's blog pretty sums it all for me: thought process zero. somehow life happens and it seems to be at this juncture that everyone around me is feeling this way. zombified. like on a production line where we will all end up as meat patty and it is just so depressing to know people don't really care at all. after all, this is singapore. who gives a damn. unless it has something to do with their monies being taken away. but even that, as long as our government can mildly explain that "it is for your own good" then we wil accept, and continue moving on this production line, and continue to slog, and continue to be one of them, and eventually become a meat patty.

where is all the fun of my previous posts? what happened to me? why did i mellow down so much? why am i so listless when i used to be so restless? where did all my energy go? what did life do to me? why can't i fight back?

i can't even express my thoughts now. i am muted. silent.

but life trods on
